Physical Education

DES has made a commitment to prepare students to live healthy, productive and physically actives lives for the 21st Century.

We will provide every student with a variety of challenges that will contribute to the development and maintenance of their physical, cognitive and affective well being.

We stress the importance of Physical Education at an early age, as it is a lifelong process, so we want to give our students the tools and mindset to lead a healthy life.

From the values of physical activity to the knowledge of movement and space awareness, students will learn to apply physical education concepts to every day life.

Perhaps most critical, DES believes fundamentally the importance of teaching personal and social responsibility through P.E. Students will learn about respect for self and others, how to give respectful feedback to peers and learn to encourage others.
