Curriculum
Donelson Elementary offers a comprehensive K-5 curriculum, which focuses on building a solid foundation in reading/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Our district is 1:1 with iPads in K-12 and technology is embedded in daily instruction. We also have a STEM Lab with a full-time STEM teacher who provides instruction for all K-5 students.
In addition to our core curriculum, students also receive weekly instruction from specialty teachers in art, music, and physical education and participate in biweekly library classes and social classes taught by our full-time guidance counselors. DES is a National Blue Ribbon School and has been recognized multiple years as a Tennessee Reward School for academic achievement. Explore below to learn more about what we offer.
